Women technicians bring solar power to Sierra Leone

A group of female technicians are at the forefront of introducing solar powered electricity to rural communities in Sierra Leone following the absence of grid electricity in the country.

An environmental and public health hazard for the residents of Sierra Leone’s capital, Freetown, has been contained following the successful removal of 93 barrels of toxic waste from a former oil refinery site on the city’s outskirts.
