Angola inaugurates National Technological Data Centre

The first National Technological Data Centre of Angola with new technologies of data and wireless network was unveiled on last Friday in Luanda by the Minister of Telecommunications and Information Technologies, José Carvalho da Rocha.

Speaking during the inauguration act of the centre, the Minister of Telecommunications and Information Technologies, José Carvalho da Rocha, said that the project will maximize the efficiency and productivity of administrative services, as well as provide high speed and greater quality of communications.

The official said that with this infrastructure, the Angolan executive intends to stimulate the scientific and technological culture, creation and strengthening of a national system of science and technology.

The centre, located in CTT zone in Luanda, is a structure that will be a computing support of the electronic governance of the country.

The centre, whose construction and equipping worthed USD 43.7 million, results from a shared financing of the governments of Angola and South Korea, under the Fund of Economic Development and Cooperation of that Asian country.
